COMMON BENT PROFILES
Standard Shapes. Custom Dimensions.
We regularly fold L-angles, Z-bars, channels, caps, ridge, and valley profiles. Share your drawing or sketch with us and we’ll match it.
L-Angle
Single 90° bend. Universal flashing, trim returns, sill edges.
Z-Flashing
Offset step bend. Wall transitions, horizontal joints, sill pans.
U-Channel
Three-sided receiver. Panel edge, door jamb liner, parapet base.
Coping Cap
Flat top, two downturned legs. Caps parapet walls and curbs.
Drip Edge
Back flange with angled kick. Eave and rake edge water diverter.
Hat Channel
Crown with two flat flanges. Structural furring, panel stand-off.
Ridge Cap
Peaked inverted-V. Covers roof ridges and hip joints.
Valley Trim
Open V-channel. Collects runoff where two roof planes meet.
J-Channel
Receiver pocket. Finishes panel and siding edges at openings and soffits.
Conductor Head
Open-top collection box. Receives leader flow, outlets to downspout.

Precision Metal Folding in Hampton Roads
Virginia Metal Works is a Virginia Beach-based metal folding shop serving contractors, builders, and architects across Hampton Roads.
We specialize in custom architectural sheet metal work including conductor heads, specialty trim, one-off panels, and segmented pieces. Our parts are fabricated from approved drawings and field measurements, with a focus on precision for custom dimensions and exact fit.
All production is completed in-house using CIDAN CNC folding and forming equipment to deliver accurate, repeatable components ready for field installation.
